For many years The Orangery has been involved in numerous Charity Events and is always willing to “Give a Little Back” to our community. We have recently became involved with a wonderful local organization the Knoxville Leadership Foundation. This organization caters to many families, and children in our area! The Knoxville Leadership Foundation brings together people from all walks of life to address the needs of our city. We target five specific areas of need: homes for the working poor, home repair for those who can’t afford it, help for non-profit groups, mentoring for children with parents in prison, and an abstinence programto help prevent teenage pregnancy. The programs conducted through Knoxville Leadership Foundation provide a wide range of opportunities for growth, restoration and relationship-building throughout our region. While the programs are as diverse as the individuals in the communities we serve, they all have one common thread: to ultimately build a better community by connecting leaders, resources and needs. It’s a natural outgrowth of our calling as the body of Christ to minister to one another and carry each other’s burdens. That’s what we mean by weaving the fabric of a strong community. We encourage you to get involved and “Give a Little Back” with us while we support this great organization! There are many upcoming events, such as The Gladiator Games, Operation Backyard and the 16th annual IRONMAN Golf Tournament just to name a few!
